CTMTC - SMARO Automatic Winder
SMARO – Latest Generation Automatic Winder from Jingwei
Qingdao Textile Machinery Co. Ltd. which is part of the Jingwei group has introduced SMARO – latest generation automatic winders. After taking exhaustive trials in China the commercial production of this machine was started last year and today has found wide acceptance in China. The Qingdao factory which is one of the modern automated factory in China, is manufacturing @ 1200 winders per annum. Qingdao now after its success in China has started exports into other countries.
Qingdao - History
- Winder manufacturing started in the year 1970.
- In 1992 go into joint venture with M/s. Savio, Italy to produce ESPERO winders and in 2007 produced 900 sets of winders which shows the success of Qingdao’s success in winder manufacturing.
- With its own advanced R&D Qingdao team developed SMARO winder and the winder uses the latest technology in electronics and mechanical components.
- SMARO winder in 2008 won the first prize of scientific and technical progress from China Textile Industry association.
SMARO-Technical
The winder structure can be divided into 3 main units :-
- The controlling head unit: Which includes the machine central unit, EYC control unit and delivering device of the tube.
- The power head unit:- which includes air suction system, switch boards, DC power supply, inverter. Etc.
- The Spindle Unit:- Single spindle, framework, electrical patch & air channel blowing & sucking clearer etc. The single spindle consists of bobbin holding device, anti-kink device, balloon controller, pre-clearer, tube sensor, tension device, electric yarn clearer, splicer, grooved winding drum, package holding devices, etc.
Major Features
1. Excellent yarn quality achieved by means of :-
- Good package forming. SMARO adopts electronic anti-patterning system to avoid ribbon folds. The anti-patterning system functions throughout the accelerating and decelerating process of the winding drum. The speeds of drum and package is monitored continuously through sensors and the central unit compares the speeds and activates the anti- pattern function whenever needed. The settings for the anti-patterning is set through the central unit for different count & varieties. Whenever a cut is effected the package is lifted immediately to avoid friction between package and winding drum.
- Uniform yarn tension, New balloon controller to make unwinding tension even from full bobbin to cop bottom. The tension plate is motor driven and electromagnetic pressing with the pressure controlled by control unit. Automatic speed control system to track the entire process of unwinding and improve quality of package. Optional is the tension sensor just before the winding area which detects the actual tension continuously and adjusts the pressure between the tension plate and yarn.
- Electronic yarn clearing system for detecting and removing all types of yarn faults including short and long thick and thin faults, count faults, contamination and polypropylene faults. Both Uster Quantum2 and Leopfe Zenit offered. Provision to unwind long yarn faults from the package is provided
- Splicer – A variety of splicers from mesdan to choose from for the highest quality joints.
2. Excellent yarn quality achieved by means of :-
- Yarn path: Small yarn path angle of SMARO reduces the contact between the channel and yarn . The new balloon controller reduces the unwinding tension. Through real time detection of the winding drum and package speed, the slip during the start time is controlled which makes faster start possible and shortens start-up time. All the above factors contributes for higher winding speed upto2200 m/min.
3. Lower air consumption & energy saving:-
- Brushless motor driven coaxial winding drum reduces power consumption compared to the belt drives.
Flexible, high-efficient joint cycle with its sensor control and independent motor drive reduces the energy consumption considerably.
- The package nozzle, bobbin nozzle and splicers have independent movements controlled by separate motors. There are no unnecessary movements as sensors detect whether the nozzles suctions are successful and the splicers start action only when yarn from both bobbin & package enters thus reducing spindle down-time, improve production efficiency and greatly reduced yarn wastage which happens due to over suctioning at nozzles.
Twin-sensors detected joint cycle. SMARO has dual sensors to detect the bobbin yarn and avoid unnecessary joint cycle caused due to tension breaks.
- Inverter controlled main suction systems. The control unit monitors the actual suction static pressure detected by the pressure sensor and the set pressure on the control unit and makes changes through the inverter according to the changes such that the suction static pressure is kept contract. When the air consumption goes down because of lower joint cycles the motor runs at a lower rate saving energy by 20-30% when compared to non-inverter controlled suction system
4. Intelligent SMARO:-
- Because of separate drives in the joint cycle the mechanical structure of the frame is greatly simplified and hence maintenance work is greatly reduced.
- The user friendly touch screen monitor enables the user to enter settings easily and data is provided convenient to the users. All quality and production data with various statistical analysis provided. For printing various reported a printer is provided. Electronic yarn clearer has a separate control unit.
- Networking of all the winders to a central monitoring system is also possible for providing long term statistics for both production and quality.
